Driver Rear-Ends Logging Truck in Fatal Bella Vista Accident

Fatal Accident

Bella Vista, CA (June 19, 2019) – A woman was killed in a rear-end crash in Bella Vista. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of June 19 on Highway 299.

A 31-year-old woman from Chico was driving a stolen Toyota Prius on eastbound Highway 299 near Old Alturas Road. She rear-ended a logging truck that driver Daniel Ralph Cox, 64, of Montgomery Creek, parked on the shoulder. She died in the crash. Cox was not injured.
