Auburn, CA (January 10, 2020) – A woman was killed in a crash in Auburn. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of January 10 on Highway 49.

A 68-year-old woman was driving a Honda Accord on Highway 49, near Joeger Road. She had turned onto the highway from a private road, in front of a Kia Sportage.

The Kia swerved to the right, but the two vehicles collided. The Kia flipped over and landed on its roof. The driver of the Kia suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Honda was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months.
