Sunnyvale, CA (October 6, 2019) – A woman was killed in a DUI crash in Sunnyvale. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of October 6 on Highway 101 at Highway 237.

A girl was walking on the shoulder of Highway 237 west near northbound Highway 101. Police officers found out she was a 17-year-old girl. She told officers she had been involved in a crash. 

The crash happened when a Chevy Silverado pickup was traveling on northbound Highway 101 north. The truck was taking the ramp that connects to eastbound Highway 237. The truck went off the road and crashed into a tree. The truck landed on its roof.

The 17-year-old girl was driving the truck and she was later arrested for DUI. The passenger in the truck, a 21-year-old woman from Riverbank, was killed in the crash.
