Victim Hit by Pickup Truck in Fatal Nevada City Accident

Nevada City, CA (November 10, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Nevada City. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of November 10 at Highway 49 and Newtown Road.

A 49-year-old woman from Grass Valley was in a crosswalk at the intersection when she was hit by a Dodge pickup truck. A 45-year-old man from Grass Valley was heading south when the crash happened. The victim died from her injuries.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
