Pickup Truck Runs Red Light in Fatal Lancaster Accident

Lancaster, CA (September 7, 2020) – A woman and her unborn child were killed in a crash in Lancaster. The fatal accident occurred on September 7 at Avenue J-8 and 10th Street West.

Police were chasing a Dodge Ram pickup after they noticed it driving recklessly. It ran a red light at the intersection, colliding with a Dodge Avenger sedan. Both vehicles ended up on the sidewalk. Both rolled over. 

A pregnant woman was taken to a local hospital, where she and her unborn child died. The pickup truck driver fled the accident scene on foot.
