Youth Counselor David McKnight-Hillman Beaten to Death at Facility
6 Arrested in Fatal Windsor Hills Attack
Windsor Hills, CA (January 2, 2021) – A youth counselor was beaten to death at a family services facility in Windsor Hills. The fatal incident occurred on the evening of January 2 in the 5300 block of Angeles Vista Boulevard.
David McKnight-Hillman, 25, was trying to break up a fight among seven people at Wayfinder Family Services, which is a nonprofit organization that provides residential therapeutic services to children. They turned on him and beat him.
Police responded and found McKnight-Hillman suffering from blunt-force trauma injuries. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. He was assaulted by seven people, including five children.
Two 18-year-olds, identified as Nyler Mason and Keith Lewis, were arrested for suspicion of murder. Four children were arrested and booked at Juvenile Hall on Eastlake Avenue. Police are looking for another child involved in the beating.
