Accident on Fifth Street Kills Bicyclist

1 Dead in San Bernardino Road Rage Crash

San Bernardino, CA (June 4, 2018) –A road rage accident in San Bernardino has led to the death of a bicyclist. The fatal crash happened on the evening of June 4 on Fifth Street.

The incident began on Historic Route 66. Two drivers – 32-year-old Rosendo Ortizand 28-year-old Karina Saucedo, both from San Bernardino – were traveling on Foothill Boulevard when they became involved in a road rage.

The incident continued for more than one mile. Foothill Boulevard turned into Fifth Street and entered a residential neighborhood. The Infiniti that Ortiz was driving hit a bicyclist crossing the street.Saucedo, driving a BMW, swerved to avoid the bicyclist and hit a parked car.

The bicyclist, whose identity was not disclosed, died at the accident scene. Both vehicles were damaged in the crash. Ortiz and Saucedo stayed at the scene and are cooperating with investigators.
