Berkeley Transit Bus Crash Kills 1

A woman was killed on the morning of February 8 when an out of control transit bus smashed into a car before slamming into a nearby house. The 27-year-old woman died after the bus hit the driver side of her vehicle and pushed her vehicle into a parked car and nearby home on Ashby Avenue.

There were people inside the home at the time, but nobody was injured. The bus driver and single passenger on board also suffered no injuries in the crash.

The woman was on California Street heading to work when the fatal crash occurred. It is unknown what caused the accident. Police investigated the area until the afternoon.
