Bertha Estrada Killed After Trying to Assist Crash Victims on State Route 94
San Diego Accident Claims Life of 19-Year-Old Woman
San Diego, CA (November 1, 2018) – A teen died while attempting to help victims of a crash in San Diego. The fatal accident happened on the morning of November 1 on State Route 94.
A Honda Civic and Mercedes sedan collided on westbound SR-94, near 28th Street. A driver pulled over and two people exited the vehicle to assist the victims.
19 year old Bertha Estrada was then hit by a Jeep SUV traveling east on SR-94. The impact caused her to fly through the air. She landed on the westbound side of the freeway and later died.
The driver of the Jeep and two people inside the Mercedes suffered injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
