Bethany Holguin Killed, 1 Injured in Hit and Run Crash on 131st Street

Street Race May Be Cause of Fatal Los Angeles Accident

Los Angeles, CA (May 11, 2019) – A woman was killed and a man was injured after a possible street race led to a crash. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of May 11 on 131st Street.

Two cars were heading west on 131st Street when they blew through a stop sign. One of vehicles, an Infiniti SUV, hit a Toyota Camry on Towne Avenue.

Witnesses tried to remove the driver, Bethany Holguin, 23, of Compton. However, the side impact was so severe that nobody could remove her. She later died. A male passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The Infiniti SUV was left behind at the accident scene. The driver and another person left the crash scene in another vehicle.
