Bicyclist Killed In Fresno Accident
August 15, 2017: Fresno authorities are investigating a deadly crash between an automobile and a bicyclist who allegedly rode through a red light at Cedar and Needles in northeast Fresno. The wreck was reported at 12:01 p.m. Witnesses stated that there was a man riding a bike who ran a red light and collided with a car.
The bicyclist was thrown into the sidewalk. He was taken to Saint Agnes Medical Center, where he was declared dead. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday identified the bicyclist as Kenneth Gregory Cook, 51, of Fresno.
The driver of the Honda Accord that struck the cyclist stopped at the crash site. The driver of the vehicle will not be charged or cited for the accident.
The crash caused traffic delays with traffic being diverted for a couple of hours.
