17-Year-Old Was in Crosswalk During Fatal Los Angeles Accident

Los Angeles, CA (February 27, 2019) – A 17-year-old boy was killed when he was hit by a car in Los Angeles. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of February 27 at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Newell Street.

The driver of a Toyota Camry, a 44-year-old woman, was heading south on Riverside Drive when she hit the boy at the intersection. The woman said she had a green light at the time of the crash.

The boy was on the hood of the car for about 100 yards. The car then stopped, throwing him to the ground. The driver called 911 and remained at the accident scene. The boy was taken to a local hospital, where he died the next day.
