Police Officer Hits Boy With SUV in Sacramento
Sacramento, CA (July 22, 2018) – A 16-year-old boy is recuperating after getting by a police SUV in Sacramento. The accident happened on Eleanor Avenue on the evening of July 22.
Police officers attempted to stop a teen riding a bike on Eleanor Avenue near Rio Linda Boulevard and El Camino Avenue. They were trying to stop the boy for a lighting violation on his bike.
The boy fled the scene. Additional officers arrived and that was when the patrol SUV hit the 16-year-old. The boy flew about 15 feet, and the SUV ended up in the front yard of a home.
The teen was hospitalized after suffering minor injuries. Surveillance video of the incident will be reviewed to determine what happened and who is at fault.
