Defective products can also occur with cars, motorcycles, trucks and buses. These are called design defect or “crash-worthy” cases.
Defective product law involves the condition of a product from the manufacturer or seller. California law requires the Judge to look at whether a product was “defective” at the time it was sold by the manufacturer or seller. At all times, the product is supposed to be safe for its intended use.
A product can be defective if it is improperly designed, improperly manufactured or does not come equipped with adequate warnings.
