Child Killed, 2 Others Injured in Interstate 680 Accident
8-Year-Old Girl Dies in Sunol Crash
Sunol, CA (June 8, 2018) – A crash in Sunol has killed a child and injured two others. The fatal accident happened on Interstate 680 just after midnight on June 8.
The accident occurred on I-680, near Highway 84. A Dodge was heading north on I-680 when the driver fell asleep and rear-ended a Toyota Corolla. The Dodge flipped over and landed on its roof. The impact caused the Toyota to collided into a Ford.
Those inside the Toyota were injured. Two parents and a child were taken to a local trauma center. The mother suffered minor injuries, while the father’s injuries were more severe. The child, an 8-year-old girl, died at the hospital.
