Car Hits Power Pole, Causes Power Outage in Claremont

Claremont, CA (May 19, 2019) – A two-car crash in Claremont has led to a power outage, a burnt car and minor injuries. The accident happened on the morning of May 19 at 6th Street and Indian Hill Boulevard.

A Volkswagen Jetta and a Tesla collided at the intersection, causing a power pole to fall down. The driver of the Jetta was hospitalized with minor injuries.

The crash left power lines down, falling on parked vehicle. A Mini Cooper caught fire and burned. Southern California Edison had to shut off the power. Nothing else was burned in the accident.
