Mill Valley, CA (January 16, 2019) – A man was killed after he was hit by a van in Mill Valley. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of January 16 at Laverne Avenue and North Ferndale Avenue.

A van and numerous people were congregated by the intersection after someone reported down power lines. A strong gust of wind broke a tree and caused it to fall. The driver of the van drove forward to avoid the tree. That was when he hit the victim, identified as Darren Malvin, 52, of Mill Valley. Malvin was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
