Debbie Criado Killed in Crash at Princeton Avenue and Fresno Street
Ruby Garcia Arrested for Causing Fatal Fresno Accident
Fresno, CA (February 27, 2019) – A woman was arrested for causing a fatal crash in Fresno. The accident occurred on the evening of February 27 at Princeton Avenue and Fresno Street.
Before the crash, police were trying to serve a search warrant at home located on the 2000 block of East Ashcroft. Police located the vehicle connected to the crime, but the driver, 28-year-old Ruby Garcia, took off and started a pursuit with police.
The woman was weaving in and out of traffic and went through a red light. Driving recklessly, the woman then T-boned a vehicle with four people inside.
Two adults and 6-year-old boy were injured and taken to a local hospital. The other passenger, 55-year-old Debbie Criado from Fresno, died at the accident scene. Garcia was arrested on four felony charges, including DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
