Fatal Car Crash, Fatal Accident, Fatal Car Accident

Fresno, CA (February 27, 2019) – A woman was arrested for causing a fatal crash in Fresno. The accident occurred on the evening of February 27 at Princeton Avenue and Fresno Street.

Before the crash, police were trying to serve a search warrant at home located on the 2000 block of East Ashcroft. Police located the vehicle connected to the crime, but the driver, 28-year-old Ruby Garcia, took off and started a pursuit with police.

The woman was weaving in and out of traffic and went through a red light. Driving recklessly, the woman then T-boned a vehicle with four people inside.

Two adults and 6-year-old boy were injured and taken to a local hospital. The other passenger, 55-year-old Debbie Criado from Fresno, died at the accident scene. Garcia was arrested on four felony charges, including DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of Debbie Criado.
