Deer, Man Killed in Crash

A 44-year-old Chula Vista man hit and killed a deer on the morning of April 17. In a turn of events, the man was also killed shortly after he plummeted off a bridge and fell 50 feet.

The incident happened near SR-54 on State Route 125. Police arrived at the accident scene to find a black car blocking the right lane. It was damaged and nobody was inside. Police then found the man’s body nearby under a bridge, near Sweetwater Reservoir.

It is unknown why the man fell over the bridge. Investigators believe that the man went to get off the road and fell down the embankment.
