On July 10, 2014, Harley Davidson issued a safety recall of its Touring motorcycles, specifically the Road King, Electra Glide and Street Glide models. The recalls are for 2014 models, which may suffer brake failure, causing the front wheel to lock up. If a rider experiences the brake failure described, it can result in an accident and significant injuries to the motorcyclist and passenger.
Since 1999 there have been 16 recalls pertaining to the Harley Davidson Touring line. There has been 14 recalls out of the last 16 model years.
