Desert Hot Springs, CA (April 16, 2019) – One person was killed and three others were injured in a crash in Desert Hot Springs. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of April 16 near Mountain View Road and 20th Avenue.

It is believed that the accident was a head-on collision. The cause of the crash is unknown. One person died at the accident scene. He has been identified as Douglas Binninger, 64, of Desert Hot Springs

Three others were taken to a local hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious.

The database contains medical device reports submitted to the FDA via its Alternative Summary Reporting Program from 1999 to 2019. Reports which were sent to this database were not, until recently, made public. The Alternative Summary Reporting Program is a non-public database, unlike the FDA’s MAUDE database which publicly logs medical device failures or defects for public review.
