Irvine Auto Accident Lawyer Jeff Nadrich Discusses Recent Alleged Drunk Driving Accident in Anaheim
IRVINE — Eight people were reportedly hospitalized after an alleged drunk driver slammed into multiple vehicles at an Anaheim intersection late last Sunday night, according to a report from ABC 7. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. at the corner of Gilbert Street and La Palma Avenue. According to police, the alleged drunk driver plowed into two vehicles filled with people, as they waited at a red light.
According to ABC, the crash was declared a mass casualty incident, due to the excessive number of injured passengers. No official word has been released about the condition of everyone involved, and ABC has yet to provide an update. The suspected drunk driver was arrested at the scene and charged with felony DUI.
Irvine auto accident lawyer Jeff Nadrich commented on the story. According to Nadrich, “Incidents like this can have severe repercussions for everyone involved. Vehicular damage, mounting medical costs, lost wages, and sometimes even death. Sadly, it’s often not enough to be a safe, defensive driver. As this case reminds us, you can become a victim even as you sit stationary at a red light. That’s why it’s so important to contact a qualified attorney when an accident does occur.”
Nadrich advises all accident victims to seek legal counsel as quickly as possible, in order to ensure that the right evidence is preserved. According to Nadrich, “The longer you wait, the more difficult your case me be. If you have been in an accident, don’t hesitate. You may be entitled to compensation, and you shouldn’t have to suffer hardship due to the actions of another driver or even the presence of a road hazard.”
