Intoxicated Wrong-Way Driver Causes Fatal San Francisco Accident

San Francisco, CA (October 3, 2019) – Four people were killed in a wrong-way crash in San Francisco. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of October 3 on Highway 101.

A taxi cab was hit head-on by a Volkswagen Cabrio going the wrong way on northbound Highway 101, near Paul Avenue. Police officers were informed about the wrong-way driver but couldn’t catch up to the car.

The wrong-way driver was identified as 34-year-old Emilie Ross from Hillsborough. Police determined her to be intoxicated. The taxi driver was a 43-year-old man from San Carlos. His passengers were 62-year-old Judson Bergman and his wife, 57-year-old Mary Miller, both from Chicago. All four died in the crash.
