Head-On Collision in Brentwood Kills 17-Year-Old Emily Alarcon-Reyes

Brentwood, CA (June 4, 2018) – A head-on collision in Brentwood has killed a teen. The fatal crash occurred on Vasco Road on the afternoon of June 4.

The accident killed 17-year-old Emily Alarcon-Reyes of East Palo Alto. The crash occurred on Vasco Road near Walnut Boulevard. A Jeep Compass driven by a 20-year-old man from San Francisco man was traveling on Vasco Road when he crossed the broken yellow line to pass traffic.

At the same time, a man in a tow truck was on Vasco Road in southbound lane. The tow truck and Jeep collided head-on. The impact caused the Jeep to exit the roadway. It landed in a grass field and caught fire.

The 17-year-old girl was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. A 21-year-old passenger in the Jeep suffered major injuries. The tow truck driver complained of pain.
