Kathryn Huckabay, Diana Huckabay and Leila Villamor Injured in Crash at Highway 26 and Highway 49


3 Injured in Mokelumne Hill Accident

Mokelumne Hill, CA (May 6, 2018) –  An accident in Mokelumne Hill left three people injured. The accident happened on the evening of May 6 at the intersection of Highways 26 and 49.

The victims were in a Mitsubishi Montero heading north on Highway 49 and had the rightofway. Randal Sturman, a 20-year-old man from Valley Springs, was driving a Mazda 3 heading east on Highway 26. He failed to yield when he came to intersection of Highways 26 and 49. His Mazda hit the Mitsubishi, and the impact caused the Mitsubishi to roll over.

The three people inside the Mitsubishi were injured. The driver was 56-year-old Kathryn Huckabay from Vallecito. She suffered major injuries in the crash. San Andreas residentDiana Huckabay, age 53, suffered minor injuries. An 11-year-old passenger Leila Villamor,from Valley Springs, suffered major injuries. Sturman was not injured in the accident.
