Maricopa, CA (January 22, 2019) – A semi truck accident in Maricopa has killed one person and injured another. The fatal crash happened on the morning of January 22 on Highway 166.

The accident occurred when an air hose on the semi truck became disconnected, causing the brakes to lock up. The truck stopped on the Highway 166 and was blocking all lanes. The driver of the pickup truck did not see the truck in time and the two vehicles collided. The driver of the pickup truck, 47-year-old Kenny Robbins from Maricopa, died at the accident scene. His passenger, Jacob Johnson, 25, from Taft, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
