Porterville Accident Involving Patrol Car Causes Critical Injuries
Porterville, CA (September 10, 2018) – A man suffered critical injuries after his car collided with a patrol car in Porterville. The accident occurred on the evening of September 10 on Olive Avenue
An officer on DUI enforcement was traveling west on Olive Avenue near Porter Road when a driver turned into the path of the officer’s patrol car. The two vehicles collided, causing major damage.
The driver, identified as Keo Malavone, suffered major injuries. He is currently hospitalized in critical condition. The officer suffered a broken wrist, neck pain, back pain and a possible broken ankle.
It is believed that alcohol was a factor in the crash. Malavone, appeared to be displaying signs of intoxication.
