Man Dies Trying to Prevent Lawndale Theft
Lawndale, CA (December 1, 2018) – A man died after he was dragged a couple hundred yards in Lawndale. The fatal incident happened on the evening of December 1 on Redondo Beach Boulevard.
The man was parked at a convenience store at the 4400 block of Redondo Beach Boulevard. He left the car running as he ran inside. Someone then entered his vehicle and drove off.
The man grabbed ahold of the passenger door. While trying to prevent the theft of his own car, the man was dragged 200 yards before he fell off. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
