Man Killed in Crash at County Road 9 and Sixth Avenue

Motorist Dies in Orland Car Accident

Orland, CA (April 24, 2018) – A two-car crash in Orland has led to fatality. The victim has been identified as Enrique Ramirez Sanches, a 55-year-old man from Corning.

The crash happened on the morning of April 25 at the intersection of County Road 9 and Sixth Avenue in Orland.Sanches was traveling on Sixth Avenue in a Ford Ranger, when he drove into the path of GMC on County Road 9.

The 27-year-old driver of the GMC, Craig Simons from Orland, was not able to stop in time and he collided with the Ford Ranger at the intersection of County Road 9 and Sixth Avenue.

The GMC struck the front of the Ford Ranger. Sanches, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from his truck and killed. It is not known if Simons suffered any injuries.
