Sary Tuy Arrested for Causing Fatal DUI Accident in Santa Fe Springs

Fatal Pedestrian Accident, Pedestrian Fatality, Pedestrian Killed

Santa Fe Springs, CA (April 14, 2019) – A man has been arrested for killing a pedestrian while driving under the influence in Santa Fe Springs. The fatal accident occurred just after midnight on April 14 on Carmenita Road.

Sary Tuy, 36, of Norwalk, was driving a Toyota south on Carmenita Road, near Lakeland Avenue, when he hit a pedestrian. The victim, a man about 30 years old, died at the accident scene.

Tuy was arrested for DUI. He was released from jail that same afternoon after posting $100,000 bail. He is scheduled for court on April 16.
