Man Crashes Into Guardrail, Pole in Hercules Accident

Hercules, CA (May 11, 2019) – A man was killed in a crash in Hercules. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of May 11 on Highway 4.

A 51-year-old Richmond man was driving a Ford Taurus on westbound Highway 4, near Willow Avenue. The vehicle veered off the highway for unknown reasons and crashed into a metal guardrail and large metal utility pole. The Ford then overturned and caught fire.

The driver was trapped inside the Ford. He was removed by emergency crews and airlifted to a local hospital, where he later died.
