Amtrak Train Kills Man in Fatal Encinitas Accident

Encinitas, CA (April 23, 2019) – A man was killed when he was hit by a train in Encinitas. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of April 23 near East J Street.

A man was walking on the tracks for unknown reasons when he was hit by an Amtrak train. The train was head south at approximately 57 mph. The man died at the accident scene. Nobody else was injured. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The database contains medical device reports submitted to the FDA via its Alternative Summary Reporting Program from 1999 to 2019.
