Head-on Accident in Farmington Leads to Fatality

Farmington, CA (May 6, 2019) – A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a crash in Farmington. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of May 6 on Highway 4.

Two vehicles collided head-on on Highway 4 near Dunton Road. Susan Lynn Hooper, 61, of Sonora, was driving a Subaru Outback and heading west when she hit a Chevrolet heading east. The Chevrolet was driven by a 26-year-old man from Copperopolis.

The man was removed from the car and airlifted to a local hospital, where he later died. Hooper also had to be removed from her vehicle. She was taken to a local hospital with major injuries.
