Pixley Wrong-Way Accident Caused by DUI
Pixley, CA (October 14, 2018) – Three women were killed when they were hit by a drunk driver in Pixley. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of October 14 on Highway 99.
Brenda Garcia was driving drunk on southbound Highway 99 near the Court Avenue off-ramp when she hit a Nissan head on. She was driving in the wrong direction at the time.
Three women from Northridge were killed in the crash. They have been identified as Maria Rivas, 77, Eva Lopez, 75, and Veronica Luna, 45. All three are related.
Garcia, 23, does not remember how she got on the freeway in the wrong direction. She is currently hospitalized for her injuries, but will be arrested for DUI when released.
