4 Vehicles Involved in Avocado Heights Accident
Avocado Heights, CA (February 19, 2019) – Five people, including two California Highway Patrol officers, were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Avocado Heights. The accident occurred on the morning of February 19 on the 60 Freeway.
El Monte resident Adrian Estrada was heading east on the 60 Freeway in a Chevrolet Malibu. He was approaching a CHP patrol vehicle parked on the shoulder when he hit the driver’s side. The front end of the CHP vehicle hit a Mazda also parked on the shoulder. Two CHP officers were outside of their car assisting the driver, Gerardo Eulloque. The Mazda hit Eulloque and both CHP officers.
Rowland Heights resident Jacob Palos came upon the accident in a Honda Accord. He did not see the Malibu and subsequently hit the passenger side. A passenger in the Malibu, Mario Mancara, suffered major injuries. Estrada and Eulloque suffered moderate injuries, while the CHP officers suffered minor injuries. All were hospitalized, but the CHP officers have since been released.
