Looking for some fun this weekend? Why not stay local and take the family to FUNWORKS! Modesto.
Funworks has been around a long time, starting in the 60’s as Putt-Putt Golf. It was one of the first miniature golf courses in the Central Valley of California.
As it grew, the owners added the first batting cages, bumper cars, and trampolines in the area. In the late 80’s, they once again made themselves a “one-of-a-kind” fun center as the first business to operate ticket-giving, interactive gaming in Stanislaus County.
As their quest for the ultimate family fun has grown, they’ve stayed true to the preservation of good, “clean” family fun. In 2017, they became the second go-kart track in the United States to convert from gas powered go-karts to electric go-karts, made exclusively in the USA.
Here’s just a sampling of what you can experience when you make family night a Funworks night.
- Putt PuttR Golf – Miniature golf is about the exciting obstacles and larger than life characters. Funworks doesn’t disappoint with 54 holes of golf surrounded by a lighthouse with a rotating light that lights up the entire course and wild animals watching as you putt through caves and around ponds.
- Freddy’s Treehouse – This is fun at its finest for those 10 years old and younger. Freddy’s Treehouse is Stanislaus County’s largest indoor playground boasting obstacles, tubes, and slides. There are two three-story twisty slides, a labyrinth of tubes, and ropes for gliding foam pads. Your little ones can explore and blow off steam while your older kids enjoy their own activities.
- The Track – Feel the wind in your hair while you’re speeding down California’s only triple level go-kart track. There’re 3 speeds to allow younger drivers to drive at a safe and fun speed while those older experienced riders can enjoy the thrill of turbo boost. The kids will love the real race sounds, a scoring system to compete against friends, and other advanced features.
- Highway 66 Bowling – This is child-friendly bowling at its best! Funworks offers bumper rails for those little members of your family as well as slightly smaller balls for little hands. This is truly bowling that can be enjoyed by toddlers as well as grandparents.
And So Much More – We’ve barely scratched the surface of all the fun that’s to be had to Funworks. When the weather is warm, get soaked on the Pirate Ride, experience the ultimate simulated thrill ride in the XD Theater, spin out with the Bumper Cars, practice some batting at the cages, race your R/C truck or buggy on our R/C track, or build a new friend at their Teddy Bear Factory. Wind down at the Game Zone and feed the family at their Pizza Company.
Warning parents! There is so much to do, good luck getting out of there without having to try it all! The upside is you will have happy, tired kids at the end of your adventure!
