Motorist Dies in Crash Near 170th Street East and Avenue T8 in Llano


Pickup Truck Driver Killed in Llano Big Rig Accident

Llano, CA (April 24, 2018) – A driver of a pickup truck was killed after being crushed by two big rigs. The crash happened at 10:30 p.m. on April 24 in Llano near 170th Street East and Avenue T8.

According to California Highway Patrol officials, the driver of a Ford F-150 rolled over and came to a stop near 170th Street East and Avenue T8 in Llano. The son of the driver saw the crash occur and went to assist his father. Several minutes later, a big rig heading south on Avenue T8 saw the F-150 and stopped to help. As that big rig was stopping, another big rig failed to see the pickup truck and crashed into it. The F-150 ended up crushed in between both big rigs on Avenue T8 near 170th Street East.

The pickup truck driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
