Two teens were injured in a car accident that claimed both parents on Monday, July 17, 2017.The accident occurred on the I-15 Northbound near Minneola Road in Yermo, CA.

When CHP and medical personnel arrived on scene they located a gold Lexus SUV on its side in the desert and a silver Audi in the center median.

Both 48-years-old and from La Palma, California, the SUV’s male driver and his wife died of their injuries. The husband died at the scene and his wife was taken to Barstow Community Hospital where she later died.

Their children, a male, and a female were both transported to Barstow Community Hospital and then airlifted to area trauma centers.

The 31-year-old female driver of the Audi and her two-year-old daughter were not injured in the crash.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a contributing factor.
