Pedestrian Hit While Attending Vigil for Bicyclist
A pedestrian was hit by a car on April 11 while taking part in a vigil for a bicyclist who was killed the day before in a hit and run accident. The accident happened at Manchester and Normandiein South Los Angeles, where bicyclists gathered for a vigil.
The bicyclists were blocking an intersection, so police arrived at the scene. The bicyclists rioted against the police vehicle by hitting it with their bikes. They then threw bottles and rocks at the police car.
While this was happening, a car sped through the intersection and hit a man. Video shows the victim flying off the car’s hood. The driver sped off.
Police and firefighters assisted the injured pedestrian. His name and condition has not been released. Nobody else was injured and no arrests have been reported yet.
