Remington Trigger Recall

Remington Trigger RecallThe defective product attorneys of Nadrich & Cohen, LLP are actively investigating Remington Trigger Recall injury claims in California and throughout the country.

On April 11, 2014, Remington Arms announced voluntary recall of Model 700 and Model Seven Rifles equipped with the X-Mark Pro (XMP) triggers, and manufactured between May 1st, 2006 and April 9th, 2014. The trigger includes a defective mechanism that can cause it to misfire after being loaded. There have been thousands of complaints concerning unintended discharge of the Model 700 and Model Seven Rifles, which are subject to the Remington Trigger Recall.

We believe Remington has been aware of this problem for many years, but failed to redesign the mechanism with safety in mind. They have been producing and selling the defective trigger design for many years, without adequate warning to consumers of the risk of misfire.

The misfiring mechanism is the “Walker Fire Control Trigger” mechanism. No other rifle manufacturer uses this design. The control mechanism includes a connector, which seemingly floats on the top of the trigger body inside the gun and is not physically attached.  The Walker Fire Control Trigger has been manufactured since 1990 and its design has been blamed for misfires. In the past, Remington has paid out over $20 million to settle misfiring injury lawsuits.

If you or a loved one has been injured as a result of the misfiring of a recalled Model 700 or Model Seven Rifle manufactured by Remington, you have legal rights to file a claim against Remington Arms. We want to obtain a financial recovery for you. We are a contingency law firm, so there is never any cost to you.
