Three Good Samaritans Rescue Couple From Burning Vehicle in Orange County


November 3, 2017: Two quick-acting teens and a good Samaritan are being hailed as heroes after racing to rescue a woman and a man trapped in a burning car.

Alex Schrier and Jeffrey Bounds, both 16 and classmates, saw the vehicle burning vehicle on the highway and jumped into action. Another Good Samaritan stopped at the scene and dialed 911.

The teens decided to use a rock to break through the glass sunroof, and they pulled the trapped vehicle occupants to safety.

The female occupant sustained head and shoulder injuries. Only minor injuries reported for the male passenger.
