Patrol Vehicle Involved in Fatal Yucca Valley Accident

Yucca Valley, CA (October 19, 2019) – A man was killed in a crash in Yucca Valley. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of October 19 on Twentynine Palms Highway.

Yucca Valley resident Thomas Geiger, Jr., 22, was driving a Honda Civic eastbound on Twentynine Palms Highway. He attempted to make a left turn onto Indio Avenue when he was hit by a patrol car. 

A passenger in the Civic, 24-year-old Robert Barajas of Yucca Valley, died at the accident scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt. The sheriff’s deputy was taken to a local hospital. Geiger was also hospitalized and is in stable condition.
