Roundup Weedkiller Lawsuit

Roundup Herbicide Contains Toxic Ingredient Glyphosate

Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Roundup which is the largest herbicide sold in the marketplace for the last 30 years. It is manufactured by Monsanto Company.

Thus far, more than 1,000 lawsuits by those who have been exposed to Roundup have been filed. These are farmers and workers diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Lawsuits have been filed in state and federal courts throughout the nation. Monsanto is at the forefront in the production of genetically-engineered products. Monsanto is also involved in genetically-altered crops which make certain crops immune to insects and various farm pests.

Judge Chhabria, United States District Court, Northern District of California is currently presiding over the Roundup MDL litigation which has approximately 310 lawsuits filed. He has stated that whether or not Roundup can cause cancer will depend on the scientific evidence presented at trial. Roundup lawyers including Nadrich & Cohen, LLP are anxiously awaiting the first trial date for the first Monsanto case.

We are taking all types of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphomas

We believe Monsanto manipulated the data regarding the safety of Glyphosate. We believe Monsanto obfuscated the science surrounding the chemical’s health impact and conducted a continuous public relations campaign that Roundup was safe.

Thus far the litigation documents have shown Monsanto paid scientists to write treatises and scientific articles showing that Monsanto’s product Glyphosate and Roundup are safe.

Since 2008 Monsanto has spent 60 million dollars on lobbying. Any negative news about Monsanto products, including Roundup, is immediately responded to and criticized through Monsanto’s contacts at the White House, Congress and various federal agencies such as the EPA’s Office of Pesticide.

There is now evidence that the EPA may have colluded with Monsanto due to the contact and access that Monsanto’s lobbyists had with the various employees of the EPA and the Agency for Toxic Substances Registry which is a division of the Centers For Disease Control (CDC.)

We believe Glyphosate promotes malignancies in the body and spurs tumor growth which causes cancers, specifically Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and other types of blood-based leukemias. We believe Monsanto has known for years that some of the non-active ingredients in Roundup are carcinogenic and that the danger that these chemicals present are compounded in that they can promote tumors when they are combined with Glyphosate.

Hidden FDA Database Concealed Reports of Surgical Stapler Malfunctions

A hidden FDA database of medical device failures was shut down in June 2019. The database contains medical device reports submitted to the FDA via its Alternative Summary Reporting Program from 1999 to 2019. Reports which were sent to this database were not, until recently, made public. The Alternative Summary Reporting Program is a non-public database, unlike the FDA’s MAUDE database which publicly logs medical device failures or defects for public review.
