Woman Waits 12 Hours to Be Rescued from Cazadero Accident

Cazadero, CA (April 5, 2019) – A man was killed and a woman was injured in a crash in Cazadero. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of April 5 on Bohan Dillon Road.

A vehicle veered off Bohan Dillon Road for unknown reasons. The driver, Seth Hellenthal, 35, was killed in the crash. The passenger, Katie Wilmore, 29, of Cazadero, was badly injured in the crash. She was not rescued until about 14 hours later. Despite a broken leg, she crawled to a dirt road and was spotted by a passerby the next morning.

She was airlifted to a local hospital. Neither victim was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Both were ejected. The cause of the crash is unknown.
