Woman Dies, CHP Officer Injured After Car Spins out of Control on Highway 101
Wet Roads Cause Fatal Accident in Sausalito
Sausalito, CA (November 24, 2018) – A CHP officer nearly missed getting killed in a Sausalito accident that killed a woman. The fatal crash happened on the morning of November 24 on Highway 101.
A Toyota Corolla spun out of control on the highway, near Spencer Avenue. Two police officers were at the scene from a prior accident. Moments later, the driver was headed towards one of the officers.
Luckily, the officer could see the car coming and he quickly reacted. He jumped into the back of the patrol car just before the crash.
The officer suffered minor injuries in the accident. The female driver of the Toyota died at a local hospital.
