Woman Injured in Accident at East Childs Avenue Bridge
Merced Crash Leaves Woman Hospitalized
Merced, CA (June 28, 2018) – A bicycle crash in Merced has left a woman hospitalized. The accident happened on the East Childs Avenue Bridge on the evening of June 28.
The woman was riding her bicycle down the bridge on Highway 99 when she lost control and slid through a stop sign. She then hit a tanker truck that was turning left from the Highway 99 off-ramp.
The woman was stuck in the back axles of the tanker trailered by emergency crews and was rushed to a local hospital to be treated for a head injury. The truck driver remained at the accident scene.
