Hit and Run Crash in Escondido Leads to Fatality

Escondido, CA (April 3, 2019) – A woman was killed in a hit and run crash in Escondido. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of April 3 on State Route 78.

A woman’s body was found on the shoulder of westbound State Route 78 near Rock Springs Road. The 26-year-old woman died at the accident scene. Debris found at the crash site showed that the vehicle involved was a Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan. The details are still under investigation.
