Antioch, CA (February 23, 2019) – A woman was killed in a solo-vehicle accident in Antioch. The fatal crash happened on the morning of February 24 on Highway 4.

The 42-year-old Hayward woman heading east in a Toyota Corolla on Highway 4 when she veered off the road. She hit a metal guard rail on the L Street off-ramp. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

PG&E Says It Knew Its Lines Could Spark Fires

PG&E Corp acknowledged in July 2019 that it has known for many years that its power lines could fail, sparking wildfires in the process. The acknowledgment came in a federal court filing which had been mandated by U.S. district judge William Alsup, who had ordered PG&E to respond to a Wall Street Journal article on a “paragraph-by-paragraph basis.”
