Accident in Oceanside Leads to Fatality

Pedestrian Fatality, Fatal Pedestrian Accident, Pedestrian Killed

Oceanside, CA (April 16, 2019) – A woman was killed when she was hit by a train in Oceanside. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of April 16 on Cassidy Street.

The crash happened in Buccaneer Beach. An Amtrak train was traveling at around 70 mph when the engineer saw a woman walking along the railroad outside the railroad truck. The engineer sounded the horn and put on the emergency brakes unfortunately could not avoid hitting the woman. The victim, a woman in her 40s or 50s, died at the accident scene.
