Woman Struck And Killed By Metro Expo Line Train In Los Angeles


A pedestrian in her 30s was struck and killed by a Metro Expo Line train Saturday afternoon at the Jefferson Park area of South Los Angeles. The accident happened about 10:40 a.m. at the 3600 block of 11th Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

Light-rail service was temporarily suspended on the Expo Line between Western Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard.
